Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)

http://www.cmha.ca

The Canadian Mental Health Association has branches that provide mental health programs and services for individuals and communities across the province. Many branches may also provide information and advice for people with mental illness, their families, and friends who need help finding a family doctor, psychiatrist, therapist, or other health care professional, a family or consumer support group, or other mental health resources. Find your local CMHA office.

Peer Support Groups

Peer support groups can be found in almost any community, and often provide a forum to share information, experience and fellowship among their members. Peer support groups can be found within mental health agencies, and sometimes have a professional facilitator. Others operate independently and are informally-led. Ask for information about support groups in your area, or contact self-help associations who collect listings of groups active in their area.
